Pet Parade Route
The La Jolla sidewalk Pet Parade begins at 11:15 am and will last approximately one hour. Less active pets/owners may circle back to the Festival Lot whenever they wish. Our sidewalk pet parade is about .8 miles long and travels along a scenic, flat pathway in the Village. Together we head west on Herschel, turn left on Prospect, and continue along for several blocks enjoying such sites as the beautiful La Valencia Hotel, Museum of Contemporary Art and St. James by the Sea, not to mention a great ocean view! At Silverado we turn left and parade up to Herschel, returning to the Festival Lot. At this time the contests begin! We encourage all pets to show up in costumes (comfy costumes, of course).
Parade & Festival Etiquette
Festival activities are located at the intersection of Herschel and Silverado. Street parking and affordable, paid lots are located close by. Please leave plenty of time to find parking. Carpooling and public transportation is encouraged. The #30 bus stops next to the Festival Lot.
